bad to the bone...

i was going to post some gargoyles for allison but i thought instead i would post what i can only imagine 'goober' was thinking of all day.

1. when going for a walk, make sure you go so fast that your owner's arm nearly comes out of the socket. especially when owner is carrying a bag of poop.

2. alternatively, stop and start often so that your owner nearly slips and falls on the wet grass.

3. anything you find on the ground, make sure you put it in your mouth and pretend to chew on it. watch as owner works her way into a frenzy trying to get you to drop it. which you did about five feet back.

4. cry and insist on bringing a toy with you. then while walking, drop it and refuse to carry it.

5. look sad as owner drags you home. go make puppy dog eyes at her brother and get treats.

You forgot:
-act tough and chase little dogs, even though you're secretly a wuss.
-Wrap leash around little dog owner's feet, knock little dog owner to sidewalk.
-Flash that "who me?" look when yelled at and slink away, acting like feelings all hurt...

My dog especially likes to wrap the leash around your legs. She also walks on a bit of a slant, so I guess I should let it go.

Animals know exactly what they are doing, and we cave everytime.

whitenoise - luckily we didn't meet up with any small dogs last night. :)

allison - your dog walks on a slant?

oh, i believe it.

Yes, loss of balance and ability to tilt at will, runs in the family.

Are we sure that Snickers and Goober are not somehow related???

I know what you mean, Robbie sort of acts the same sometimes no, most of the time. And because I'm not his owner, my mom his, he doesn't really listen to me, so I end up bringing my Mom with me to walk the dog.

allison - interesting family traits. :)

barbara - yes, i am starting to think so.

steph - well goober is part shepherd.

evelyne - i'm not sure goober listens to anyone.

i like to think that my parents' dog listen to them, so I tend to forget about the dog before going at home, because he doesn't really listen to my mom that much, unless she has a fly swatter in her hand, we never it the dog with it, but it really scares him

I love your Goober stories. He sounds like my kind of dog, a dog with attitude. Something like his owner I dare say!!

Awww, Goober sounds awesome in a troublesome kinda way! I think any series of actions performed by a dog has to end with the puppy eyes, so they melt your heart and make you forget all their crazy antics. Cute post! :)

evelyne - my dog hates the fly swatter. mainly because i am not allowed to kill bugs. it gets him all riled up.

toccata - what? i have attitude? :)

strawberry blondie - aaah, thanks!
