at the car wash...

ok, to the middle aged blonde white trash woman driving the chevy truck (licence plate 684 K*R). the next time you cut me off, i am going to ram my car into your damn truck!

picture this. an extremely busy intersection ( lougheed and willingdon). me, at the traffic light, waiting for the light to turn green. a different truck beside me. the light turns green. the truck beside me speeds on thru the intersection. i start to go, and a truck tries to sneak into the intersection to make a right turn. i pause, the truck stops. silly me, i think because you have stopped and i have a freakin' green light, i should be able to continue on thru. but nooooo, you wait until i have sped up, and then you enter the intersection. and then freakin' stop 1/2 thru your turn. blocking my entire lane! in the middle of rush hour. where the hell did you want me to go lady?! it's not like going into the lane next to me was an option. hi, lots of cars there. so i slam on my brakes, and wait for you to figure out how to straighten out your truck in order to complete the turn. grrrrrrr.

the above happened right after something else happened. i hate squeegee kids. with a passion. they always have the dirtiest water and after they are done, my windshield is worse than before. plus i feel it is extremely danagerous as well. so i was sitting at the light, and this squeegee kid jumps out of nowhere and starts washing my windshield. i'm like.. nooo, noo. but she keeps doing it, and i am surprised because she had good water and soap and did this awesome job. and then smiled and walked away when i shook my head. i felt bad. but do i give money for a good job when it is something i feel is wrong? it's not like i don't give money in other situations. and i've bought food for people as well. i am so conflicted.

I agree with you about the squeegee kids. They get so agressive! I do have a problem paying for a service I do NOT WANT! I've given food to people sitting outside Safeway but I wont give money. It's not like I have any to give!!

Not a fun drive home! Glad you made it home in one piece.

I prefer to give to actual agencies than individuals. It's such a tough call but I figure with an agency my money and/or donations are hopefully being used in a more constructive manner. I think our provincial cuts in the area of mental health has been absolutely devastating.

668 I will type up the notes tomorrow and send them off to you. Feel free to do whatever you want with them. I am completely wiped tonight. I had to teach 9 hours today and I am brain dead.

I agree to about the squeegee kids.

So, I guess walking is looking up? I just have to worry about stupid cars turning right on green lights.

it's so tough, i give some money, especially when they are performing something cool. if they are performing something lame, no way!

i wish i could walk, but i think i might switch to the bus in the new year.

squeegee kids are everywhere in vancouver.

668 living in this particular area, I've learned to carry my debit card only and I do walk everywhere or take transit, but I have been with friends who drive and the kids get really aggressive. I've seen a local kid pounding on a car that refused to pay, and I thought she was going to break the windsheild!

To give Barb an idea of the squeegee situation, a punk band from here called the Dayglo Abortions wrote a song called Squeegee night in Canada. ( i think they were actually from Victoria, but you get the point) heeee
