it occurred to me recently. what happened to frank black?
not the person. but the interview.
about six months ago, mr. stroumboulopoulos mentioned that he had done a frank black interview. he plugged it for a couple of weeks and then nada. and then i wrote an email to 'the hour' and i got a great email back from them. and i waited. and waited. until i finally forgot about it.
but recently, for some reason i remembered it recently. and i thought, damn them!
but i was lying on the couch sunday, cleaning out my pvr and i was like, i guess i should start watching some of these episodes of 'the hour' i have taped. because i've been taping, but i haven't felt the urge to watch any of them. i won't go into the whys as i am sure you all know by now how i feel.
but lo and behold, in last week's episodes, the frank black interview! and allison brachman had emailed me, just like she said. it's just that i don't go into that account as often as i apparently should.
here is the long awaited frank black interview. six months later, but still good.
and then, an interview with eddie izzard! i heart eddie izzard. a lot. he's hysterical. he has an accent. he wears make up. i so want him. :)
and because one eddie clip is not enough.(not my favourite outfit, but funny nonetheless)
what's up 'the hour'? are you wooing me?

i heart eddie too. thanks for that clip :)
Aww...you were my very first comment! It's nice when people are brought together by mutual transvestite obsession, isn't it!
I'm constantly taping things and never watching them too. Sometimes I wonder why I bother. Often I tape "intellectual" programs. Trust me they never got watched! America's Next Top Model now that I watch. Sad, disgusting and truly dispicable but sadly true.
allison - he is swell. :)
*sigh* - nice handle!
i'm so excited to be someone's first...tee heee.
i always like to find another trannie fan. :)
toccata - oh dear, america's top model? haha.. i got hooked on that find the next pussycat doll show recently. but i put the blame on the hockey playoffs for that.
sheltered life... I've never heard of this guy before, but he's hilarious. ;-)
Thanks for posting the link to the Frank Black clip. It seems the hour website is the only way I ever see the show anymore! I usually catch the last little bit of it
whitenoise - i'm glad you like him! and i don't even think that's his best bit. but it was funny and short.
mel - if i hadn't gotten a pvr for xmas, i would be watching the show on the web too.
Izzard's pretty good in that series on FX, The Riches - I only saw the first few episodes but they were good and then I gave up on it.
Frank Black solo is like Bob Mould without Husker Du...it's OK and better than most but much prefer 'em with their original band.
hey hey motor city monk,
i haven't seen 'the riches' yet. i want to check it out tho.
i'm with you on frank black/bob mould. it's funny because my friend and i constantly mix them up when we are trying to remember when and if we've seen them and in what form.
Yeah - there's definitely some symmetry going on with those two.
I love Eddie Izzard & just finished watching him in an episode of "The Riches"...have you seen it? I'll watch anything with him in it & he looks great with less eyeliner.
Izzard is one of the most unique comedians I have ever seen. I always enjoy watching him.
chick - i need to see this show.
leazwell - i love how he jokes about history.
