just back from the vet's. i am now $180 poorer.
'goober' has four different medications to take. joy, oh joy.
he is fine, the vet is just concerned about infections etc.
good thing i start my new job tomorrow. i doubt 'goober' has any money saved. :)
ps... will not be around for the strombo show tonight. i have a birthday dinner for five people to go to.

Four? Yikes - the vet is covering every base imaginable, I see.
At least you get some cake.
Aw poor Goober! I hope his wound heals quickly! Glad he is fine though. Enjoy the birthday dinner, and have a peice of cake for me!
Yikes is right! I think you had better send Goober out with a hat and a sign begging for money.
barbara - yep, he has liquids, pills, creams and another liquid. i can't even remember what they do.
lord, did i have cake. :)
mel - i had an extra slice for you.
toccata - trust me, if i thought he was smart enough, i would. as we say around here, it's a good thing you are so cute, because you certainly aren't very bright. :)
Haha, sounds like my cat. Good luck tomorrow. Glad you got yourself some birthday cake.
4 different medications? Hope he is going to be better soon and good luck to give it to him. I remember having to give just one little pill to my cat and it was a huge fight between us, she wouldn't swallow it. Good luck with the new job.
I wish 'goober' a speedy recovery.
How'd the new job go?
toccata - thanks!
evelyne - he is pretty tired of me coming near his face. between cleaning his wound, rubbing cream on it, and shoving his medicine down his throat. poor little puppy. the pills he is fine with. he eats them with peanut butter.
allison - good. i got to go home something like four hours early today. and i still get paid for a full day! tomorrow is my first day at my actual place of work.
I forgot your dog liked his pills in peanut butter. Man I wish I could find some trick like that for Sammy Jo!
Good luck tomorrow on your official first day at your actual place of work. Knock 'em dead.
Pets certainly aren't cheap. One of our dogs recently had leg surgery. $Two thousand or so later... but when they're members of the family, what are you going to do?
toccata - i think cats are too smart for the peanut butter trick.
i'm looking forward to see where and what my actual work space looks like.
whitenoise - wow! i'll count myself lucky.
i hear you.
That's a lot of meds. Is he a little loopy? For that kind of cash I hope he's at least got a little high.
welcome jay!
well, he does seem to be more interested in snacks lately. :)
