i know i'm late, but happy belated turkey day. i was down in america today, and i went to this family restaurant thinking they would have turkey. sadly, i was wrong.
here is my friday random top ten. just a cool cat was unable to play, but i still posted mine there. and here.
until i hit number ten, my computer was in a total rockin' mood. since ten was not so rockin', and eleven was, i decided to do a top eleven today.

2. skip beat – fluf
3. the n.s. – sloan
4. sweet jane - the velvet underground

Every week these lists amaze me. There is so much music out there I do not know. I have never heard of the dishrags, fluf or the backyard babies. No turkey! Hope you had fun all the same.
the dishrags were all girl vancouver punk band from the 70's.
i'm not sure how i would describe fluf. i just like 'em. :)
the backyard babies is a garage/punk band from sweden. my friend and i drove down to see them in portland a few years ago. we thought we were going to die on the freeway, it was raining so hard. it was an awesome show, there was at least ten of us from vancouver down there. and the band was so cool, dregen (the guitar player) went out of his way to shake my hand after the show and he kissed my friend (who is totally in love with him). she is sure she caught a disease from him. :)
i had fun. i bought way too much but i am happy.
ooh, nice list. i like the bonus track. and there was something else i wanted to say...damn, you need a pop up comment thing...oh, snow patrol. love em. haven't listened in ages, thanks for the reminder.
hmm, is that easy to do? a pop up thing?
i'm having hell with this word verifcation. i may get rid of it, it's driving me nuts.
easy as pie, its just under settings, and commenting in the dashboard of blogger. you can take out word verification too there.
ok, i will look in to this when i get back from work today. :(
Hey we both had Sloan songs and this is the first time they have ever shown up on one of my lists. I agree with Toccata, you've got some unfamiliar to me bands, which I think is fabulous.
i like how reading other people's random top ten makes me rediscover stuff i have forgotten. or meant to listen to.
i love sloan.
